What materials are your products made from?

All Thengapura products are handcrafted from natural coconut shells sourced from Kerala, India. Each piece is carefully selected, cleaned, and finished by skilled artisans using eco-friendly processes.

Are your products food-safe?

Yes! Our bowls, cups, and other food-contact items are finished with food-safe coatings. We use natural oils and FDA-approved lacquers to ensure they're safe for serving food and beverages.

How do I care for my coconut shell products?

Hand wash with mild soap and lukewarm water. Avoid soaking for extended periods, dishwashers, and microwaves. Dry thoroughly after washing. Occasionally apply food-safe mineral oil to maintain the shine and prevent cracking.

Are the products waterproof?

Our products are water-resistant due to the protective coating applied during finishing. However, we recommend not soaking them for long periods as prolonged water exposure can affect the finish over time.

Where do you ship?

We currently ship to all 50 US states.

Do you ship internationally?

At this time, Thengapura ships only within the United States.
